In relation to qualifications -

Access to Learning and Assessment

All learners will have access to learning and assessment regardless of racial or ethnic origin, cultural or religious background, disability, gender, sexual orientation, age, dependants, marital status, perceived or actual political affiliation, being in full or part time employment or being self¬employed or a volunteer.

Discrimination against Learners

As team members are trained to the national standards in Training and Development the Centre will take responsibility for ensuring that discrimination against learners is avoided. This will be monitored by the Programme Leader during periodic visits, by discussion with Learners and team members.

Appointment of Centre Staff

All team members appointed to work on programmes will be recruited, offered training opportunities and promoted on the basis of objective criteria or ability and suitability for the post.

Induction Loop System

The Training Room at Theodore Road has a a induction loop system to assist the hearing impaired.

Accessibility

Theodore Road Training Centre has been made accessable for wheelchairs.
